CURLS FOR SHORT HAIR

Learn how to create curls for short hair with the Mark Hill Pick N Mix range

Glam curls aren’t just for those gals with long locks! Thanks to the Mark Hill Pick N Mix range, you girls owning short hair can now rock ultra luscious curls too! The Mark Hill Pick N Mix range allows you to match your hair to your mood. Today you’ll be achieving hair goals with the Mark Hill Pick N Mix Handle and the Mark Hill Pick N Mix Small Barrel.

1. It’s time to prep and protect!

Protecting your tresses against nasty heat damage is super important! Using the Mark Hill Mircacolious Heat Protection Spray, spray the top sections of your hair to protect your tresses up to temperatures of 240 degrees. Next, switch on the Mark Hill Pick N Mix Handle with the Mark Hill Pick N Mix Small Barrel attached and pop the heat protection gloves on. Remember, safety first girls!

2. Now it’s time to start curling short hair.

Now let’s create glamorous loose curls that’ll guarantee you plenty of ‘gram likes. Start by taking small sections of hair and wrapping it around the Mark Hill Pick N Mix Small Barrel for 5 - 10 seconds. To copy Chloe’s look, remember you’ll need to create all the curls in the same direction. You should do this by wrapping each section of the hair towards the back of the head.

If you’re a short-haired gal like Chloe, start curling at the top of the head and work your way down to the bottom. Once you’ve finished off the top section of the hair, make sure to curl the little pieces in between.

3. Now finish off those layers!

You’re nearly there gal! Once you’ve finished off the top sections, it’s time to start curling underneath. The easiest way to do this is to pin your hair out of the way so you can easily get to your bottom layer. These bottom curls don’t have to be super neat, you’re only aiming to create movement and volume. And remember, those glam top layers will hide any messy bits! Once you’ve completed the first section, keep repeating those glam curls on the back of the hair and the other side.

Top tip gal, the glove comes in really handy at this stage, because you can rest the hair on your  fingers against the barrel. Please don’t try this technique without the protection glove!

4. Fix those flyaways!

Now unpin your hair and let those curls drop. Have you been left with flyaways and annoying frizzy bits? Don’t worry girl, restore that shine using the Mark Hill Perfecting Polish. Simply rub in your hands to activate the magic. And then run the formula through your curls. There you go! Didn’t we say curling short hair couldn’t be easier? Did someone say selfie time...

These glam curls will be perfect for your next big night out. Leave your girls with long tresses jealous of your instaworthy glam mane.
